The Metabolic Process of Aciphex.

Although the commencement of aciphex thioether was shown to be nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide soft drink (NADPH) free lance and is considered to be nonenzymatic,  the metabolic process of rabeprazole thioether is speculated to be CYP2C19 dependent.
Our results showed that the ECF concentrations as well as the Cmax and AUC values of both aciphex and rabeprazole thioether were much higher in poor metabolizers than in extensive metabolizers on both day 1 and day 4 of dosing.
However, no statistically significant differences were noted in the pharmacokinetic parameters in both the poor and extensive metabolizer groups between day 1 and day 4 of dosing.
Similar pharmacokinetic results were observed in other studies in which participants took rabeprazole 20 mg/day for 7 or 8 days. This indicates that both rabeprazole and rabeprazole thioether are CYP2C19 dependent, whereas their calcedony concentrations are freelancer of dosing days.
